Opportunities for artists
Studiotrade
studiotrade is a European network of choreographers, producers and dance organisations who enable an international exchange of studio facilities for research, creation and introduction to new markets and contexts for dance artists.
In February 2013 Dance City became a partner in the studiotrade network.
Throughout the year the partners offer the opportunity for residency exchanges, each welcoming up to two companies/artists from countries other than their own.
Each partner offers free studio space in their building and advice on accommodation in their area. Some partners offer limited financial support for accommodation and/or travel.
The opportunities are largely unfunded and interested artists/companies will need to be self-supporting throughout the residencies.
Most partners are open to any kind of artistic context or genre however some partners may be interested in artists/companies developing specific creative themes which fit with their own.

New classes and workshops
Dance City is seeking proposals for artists and companies to deliver new classes and workshops at the venue for our September - December 2013 term.
We wish to establish new partnerships for the delivery of new activity to happen at Dance City in styles currently not occurring at the venue for children, young people and adults as part of our creative learning programme.
We are particularly interested in seeking tutors who can deliver specialist workshops that would happen on a once a month basis or once a term, but that have a clearly defined market and potential for growth at the venue. We will consider proposals for regular weekly classes, although they must fill a gap in current provision and not replicate already existing activities.
Details and a proposal form can be downloaded here.
