20/01/12 Neon Dance had a one week residency at Dance City

Neon Dance is currently in residency this week at Dance City.

Neon Dance was founded in 2003 and produce visually stunning performance work, combining dance with original music and digital media. Artistic Director, Adrienne Hart, creates a performance experience designed for a varied range of spaces from small theatre venues to large scale festivals.

Neon Dance are using their residency to develop their work with media artist Frieder Weiss as well as working towards their upcoming new production The Intention.

The Intention is a dark dance theatre piece inspired by ‘The Invention of Morel’, a novel by Adolfo Bioy Casares. The piece is a projection of a woman that once lived. A fugitive with nothing to lose attempts to fit himself into her reality. A recording of events takes on a greater reality than the continued existence of its subjects.

The company will be holding a sharing in Dance City this Saturday 21 January at 3.30pm.
