Businesses boogie for charity.
There will be Lycra and spandex aplenty when six leading North East companies take on each other in the ultimate dance off to raise money for The Sick Children’s Trust.
The teams from Ryder Architecture, Dickinson Dees, Benchmark Communications, Northumbrian Water, George F White and Lloyds Banking will be competing against each other to be crowned Just Dance Champions 2012.
Strictly no ballroom, each company will perform their favourite pop dance routine in front of a panel of judges and a packed audience who will vote to decide the winner. All the money raised from the evening will go towards the charity’s Crawford House in Newcastle which provides free accommodation to families of sick children being treated at the RVI.
The fundraising event, which is being sponsored by Lloyds Banking in partnership with Dance City and GrafikM, will be hosted by local radio presenters, Gary and Lisa from Real Radio.
Ian McKeown, Chief Executive at Dance City said: “Choreographers from Dance City have been working with the companies since the start of the year to develop their routines. Each company will be performing as a ‘crew’ in competition against each other. They have all been giving their all at rehearsals and what they lack in dance skills each team certainly makes up for in enthusiasm.”
Mike Mullaney, Head of Corporate Banking from Lloyds added:” We are delighted to support The Sick Children’s Trust Just Dance. It’s a fantastic event for a brilliant charity and so far there has been some great local rivalry developing between the teams. I wish all the best to everyone taking part and I am sure our team at Lloyds will do us proud.”
Judging the event is Mike Mullaney from Lloyds Banking, Craig Millar, Communications Manager and Julie Campbell, CAT Manager (both from Dance City).
