Just Jam International is one of the biggest breakdance events in the country and returns to Dance City as part of Juice Festival from 24-28 October, featuring events and workshops for all levels from complete beginners to expert breakers, and those who just like to watch.

Jam and Juice, (8pm, Sat 27 Oct) is an international hip hop theatre performance presenting all elements of the dance style with an emphasis on quality and respect for hip hop dance culture. This year’s line-up brings together hip hop performances with other elements of the culture including Turntablism, rapping and even hip hop comedy. Acts featured in this years line up include Bad Taste Cru, Bird gang (UK), Babson (France), Eugene Quiet (Lithunaia), DJ Rasp (UK) and Trash Dollies (UK).

On Sunday 28 October, the annual BBoy Battle takes to the Dance City stage where the best of the UK take on the best in the world for the coveted title and £500 cash prize.

As well as these events Just Jam International has a variety of breadkdance and hip hop workshops for children (7+), adults, beginners and the more advanced. These workshops cover a variety of styles such as; breakin’, Hip Hop, popping and house and are led by some of the best artists and choreographers from Europe.

For the more advanced and professional breakdancer’s for the first year the programme includes a special BBoy Bootcamp led by influential BBoy P.O.E. O.N.E. This is a three day bootcamp which has been developed for breakdancers to help them broaden their vocabulary of moves and transitions using new methods of practice and conditioning.
