Thursday 18 March
Free performance.
14:15
Professor Nicky Clayton was recently scientific advisor to the Rambert Dance Company for their performance 'Comedy of Change'. Drawing on this and her 'bird tango' video, she will show how dance can take inspiration from the behaviour of birds in relation to Darwin's theories on evolution and natural selection. General Level - All abilities welcome.
Nicky is also giving a lecture on Mental Time Travel, why not check it out after the workshop!
Booking: Tickets are FREE but limited due to studio capacity. To avoid disappointment book yours in advance on 0191 261 0505 or visit Dance City in person.
Organised by the Institute of Neuroscience (www.ncl.ac.uk/ion) as part of Brain Awareness Week and in partnership with the Centre for Behaviour and Evolution (www.ncl.ac.uk/cbe)
