Calling All Young Dancers – Applications for U.Dance 2026 are now OPEN!
Whether you are part of a school, community group, private dance school, or dancing independently, if you love to dance, we want to hear from you!
We are welcoming applications for our North East Regional Platform at Dance City on Sunday 15 March from:
- Soloists & groups based in the North East
- Ages 11–19 (or up to age 25 for dancers with disabilities or long-term health conditions)
- All styles from street & contemporary to ballet, jazz, South Asian, African Diaspora, folk & more!
Deadline: 12 noon, Friday 30 January 2026.
Key Dates
Please be aware that you must be able to attend both the Regional Platform and the National Festival to apply.
- Applicants notified: Friday 13 February 2026
- Group and technical information due: Friday 27 February 2026
- U.Dance North East Regional Platform: Sunday 15 March 2026
- U.Dance National Festival will take place in Glasgow 3 – 5 July 2026
