Calling All Young Dancers – Applications for U.Dance 2026 are now OPEN!
Whether you are part of a school, community group, private dance school, or dancing independently, if you love to dance, we want to hear from you!
We are welcoming applications for our North East Regional Platform at Dance City on Saturday 18 April 2026 from:
- Soloists & groups based in the North East
- Ages 11–19 (or up to age 25 for dancers with disabilities or long-term health conditions)
- All styles from street & contemporary to ballet, jazz, South Asian, African Diaspora, folk & more!
Deadline: 12 noon, Friday 20 February 2026

Please be aware that you must be able to attend both the Regional Platform and the National Festival to apply.

- Group and technical information due: Friday 13 March 2026
- U.Dance North East Regional Platform: Saturday 18 April 2026
- U.Dance National Festival will take place in Glasgow 3 – 5 July 2026
