What is it?
Pilates is a holistic exercise technique which elongates, strengthens and restores the body's balance. The basis of the Pilates method is the conscious control of all muscular movements in the body, “Contrology” was developed by Joseph Pilates over 80 years ago. During Pilates you will aim to develop a suppler well balanced body. Through learning contrology and core support it can help with the management of back pain, address postural issues and facilitate recovery from injury. The benefits of Pilates are increased muscle tone, strength, flexibility, better posture and more energy through a series of gentle mat-based exercises.
