About
Join us at Dance City this August as we are delighted to welcome New Adventures.
New Adventures is an iconic and ground-breaking dance-theatre company. Since 1987, we have been known for creating works that have altered the public perception of what is possible when it comes to telling stories without words. The company is led by celebrated choreographer and director, Matthew Bourne.
New Adventures believe passionately that dance-theatre is for everyone and seek to reach audiences and communities from all backgrounds with our work. Participants will go on an adventure of discovery and expression through our unique story telling language and playful creative method. We will begin with a warm up introducing Matthew Bourne’s production of Swan Lake, Participants will learn movement from the show and have a chance to explore their own creativity through Matthew Bourne’s processes. We end the workshop with a short Q&A session.
This one-day masterclass is designed for 12- to 19-year-olds with at least four years of dance experience preferred.
