An exciting partnership with Liberdade, our first ‘Freedom Moving Platform’ for people with additional needs took place in Dec 2014. The Freedom Moving Platform will be the start of an annual festival celebrating and developing a culture of inclusive Dance and Physical theatre in the North East, the next one is planned for Nov 2015. We would like to invite SEN schools and adult groups to get involved too! Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org Dance Engagement Co-ordinator if you are interested in being part of it.
The ‘Freedom Moving’ platform supports groups who actively promote and develop dance work for people of all ages with learning difficulties and additional needs. Celebrating dance and physical theatre, groups will have an opportunity to perform in a professional space, be inspired and see each other’s work. This performance offers an exciting opportunity for a public audience to engage with this vibrant cultural scene.
Liberdade are a physical theatre company who run arts and health initiatives for the learning disabled community in the North East.
