Dance City is about developing dance with and for anyone and everyone, encouraging people from ‘Mini Movers’ to ‘Mature Movers’ (and everything in between) to become enthused about creative work and the range of transferable skills which can be achieved through dance.

Dance projects and regular sessions can be geared to suit the needs of different groups, as a way of engaging hard to reach groups, for celebratory events, for wellbeing and simply for fun!

We are currently working with Byker Community Trust to deliver weekly ‘Mini Movers’ sessions based at Byker Community Centre.  We have also delivered 12 weeks of regular activity at Allendale Sports Centre with two classes for adults and young people weekly.

We are keen to build on these regular sessions and work with partners to deliver activity in the heart of the community, if you have a group keen to try dance or would like to try taster sessions with a view to regular activity please contact holly.irving@dancecity.co.uk Dance Engagement Coordinator.
