Callout for 2x Dancers – DRIFTmcr
As part of this year’s DRIFT our creative team will be collaborating to make a brand new interdisciplinary work.
The work will involve live music, digital art and dance and will be presented at DRIFT at The Lowry in November. We are looking for 2 dancers interested in interdisiplinary collaboration to join the team.
Who we are looking for:
We believe in supporting amazing artists within Manchester particularly those underrepresented within mainstream art settings. To that end you will need to be based within greater Manchester and able to travel to Salford. Dancers must be over 18yrs by the time of the audition. We are open to various movement styles however you must have a strong base in contemporary dance. Some experience in creating collaborative work is a bonus.
When:
The project will take place over 7 days w/c 11th November, you must be available for all rehearsals and performance date.
Rehearsals:
11th-15th November 5pm -10pm
16th November 11:30am -5pm
Performance take place :
17th November 2019
8:00pm
You will be needed on the 17th from 6pm onwards (time subject to change)
Pay will be within ITC guidelines and industry standards
To Apply:
The audition will be Friday 27th September 6pm – 8pm and will be invite only. It will consist of creative tasks based around collaboration. We will not cut anyone during this session, Deadline 5th Sept all applicants will be notified by Saturday 28th September.
