Figures in a Floating Landscape is the 2nd part of a trilogy by choreographer Dora Frankel and collaborator composer Peter Coyte.

Fusing music and dance it is an immersive indoor/outdoor performance with 5 dancers & 2 musicians taking the audience on a 40 minute (25 when outdoor) journey inspired by the Kent walks of, and the later improvisatory sketches by the much loved and radical landscape painter JMW Turner; it contextualises them in light of environmental change and damage.

We are seeking 3 experienced dancers of any age, gender and ethnic background with good musicality, strong in contemporary technique and with teaching/workshop facilitation experience, to join the creative team for a week of R & D in Newcastle College (July 15th -19th), rehearsals in Dance City, Newcastle (September 2nd – 6th) & Swanley (October 29th -31st) with Premiere November 1st.

Fees: £483.09 + 12% holiday pay per week, two 2nd class economy returns from London or similar, contribution to accommodation.
