Call Out For Female Dancer – Mischief Company

First Footing a new immersive theatre project for the Woodhorn museum, directed by Joe Hufton and choreographed by David Lloyd (Mischief Company) is seeking a Northern based Professional Female Dancer.

 

About the Project

To mark the anniversary of the Woodhorn mining museum, Immersive Theatre Director Joe Hufton will be developing First Footing, a show which takes the audience through an immersive retelling of the Woodhorn Mine. Choreographer David Lloyd will be choreographing a solo for a female dancers to sit within one of the rooms in the museum.

 

What we are looking for

The Character, an angelic angel, to portray the rebirth of the Woodhorn Mine and women entering the mining industry. We are seeking an adventurous female dancer who has strong contemporary technique, strong improvisation skills both theatrically and physically, strong presence and comfortable working in site specific spaces. Floor work desired but not essential.

 

This will be an Open Audition on Sunday 1st Dec 10am – 2pm.

Fee will be a flat rate for the project based on 2 weeks of work.
