Kate Marsh & Susanna Recchia

Being Authentic – Bringing lived experiences into the creative process

These workshops over two days, led by dance artists Susanna Recchia and Kate Marsh, will bring together two experienced dance artists who have worked in the field of ‘inclusive’ dance for many years. Susanna has a long history of working with somatic dance practice, technique and improvisation and Kate draws on group and solo improvisation as a tool for choreography and training. They will use improvisation and choreographic tasks as a way into exploring how we can share space and make space for each other in our dance practice. We will also use shared discussion alongside practice to develop thinking around the themes of the workshop.

These workshops will be accessible and aimed exploring the individuality that each participant brings to the sessions and what happens to our practice when we work authentically from a place of lived experience.
