Join Dance City, Rendez-Vous dance, the Made In The North East venue cohort plus guest speakers to discover the process behind the making of The Monocle, a new dance theatre work co-commissioned and presented in 2022 across the North East. In depth insights into the marketing strategies, approaches to engagement and venue case studies will be shared, as well as an overview of the offical project evaluation report and a live performance excerpt by one of the professional cast. This symposium is an opportunity to network and learn more about making, programming and touring dance across our region in 2022 and beyond.

The morning session will take place at Dance City Newcastle’s theatre, followed by a delicious, complimentary vegan lunch in the cafe. The afternoon panel talks will take place on Zoom, and will be available to watch either on site or from home. All sessions are open to attend and are free of charge.
