Aetherbound -

Concept, choreography and performance: Lila Naruse and Rosie Macari

Running time: 15 minutes

Aetherbound is a visually striking aerial dance piece exploring themes of restriction, resilience, and reconnection. Using harness and rope, the performers navigate a journey shaped by heritage, nature, and the evolving strength of womanhood. This work resonates with audiences across generations - young women coming of age, older women with lived experience, and men invited to witness a story of transformation and strength.

Obscura -

Concept and choreography: Pagan Hunt and Ellie Trow

Performance: Pagan Hunt

Running time: 15 minutes

Shadowy and indistinct—passing moments in our lives when people and places blur, crossing boundaries and transforming into something entirely new.

This interplay of film and live dance explores the joy and confusion of encounters as people drift in and out of our lives. Can you recall the first time you met someone? Or even notice the last time you saw them?

To end the evening, we invite the audience to take part in an interactive creation by Fertile Ground Director Renaud Wiser

E-motion (world premiere) -

Concept and choreography: Renaud Wiser

Choreography and performance: Maria Giacchetto, Esme Jobey, Hope Brown-King, Berta Admetlla

Interactive application development: Jon Rowe

Running time: 30 minutes

E-motion invites the audience to actively shape a live dance performance by voting through a mobile app available on Android and iOS. As a participant, you will decide which dancer performs in each section, the spatial arrangement, musical atmosphere, and movement intentions, collaboratively crafting unique stories. Drawing from pre-arranged movement sequences and improvisation, the dancers will respond in real time to your choices. This engaging and playful work aims to redefine the role of spectators by giving them creative agency and breaking the traditional barrier between performers and audience.
