Polyphonic Songs, Stories and Contemporary Dance

In this free workshop you will experience MOV’s practice of blending polyphonic song and folk dances with contemporary.

For the first half of the workshop, MOV’s Artistic Director will lead a warmup and teach rep from our first show Voices. This material has taken inspiration from dances and songs from Greece, Scotland, Iran, Ghana and Ireland. There will be creative, collaborative tasks which will invite you to bring in some of your cultural heritage through dance, song and stories.

This workshop is open to professional dancers and vocalists, who are interested in meeting MOV’s work.
