Non-Topia invites practitioners within the field of performance art and interdisciplinary practice to an open lab session at Dance City during their residency commissionedy by Västra Götaland County(Sweden) and Fertile Ground, Dance City and Newcastle College(U.K.)

The session will be facilitated by the members of Non-Topia including a physical warm up and propose a topic to explore and develop both individually and as a group.

In this lab, you will be introduced to the practice of instant composition and improvisation techniques in a multidisciplinary interaction with movement and live-music / sound, which is the primary method for Non-Topia collaborations.

The shared space and time encourage all participants to explore new encounters within the context of instant composition as solo, duo or ensemble practice.

Open for dancers, choreographers, musicians, composers, poets and performers in general.
