We are pleased to announce the full programme for CODA dance festival taking place on Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 April.

CODA is a two day festival programme of performances and events celebrating the creativity, talent, and performance of students on our BA (hons) in Professional Dance. The festival is designed, organised, and led by our third year students.

CODA dance festival sets out to share a vibrant celebration of dance in the North East. With diversity and inclusivity in mind, this festival values individuality and unity. We aim to invite open conversation through our personal movement and artistic practices as emerging practitioners, allowing us to leave our first mark and a lingering resonance of who we are.

Mission statement created by our BA students

The programme will include work that the students have been preparing throughout their course this year with permanent faculty and visiting artists, including Yukiko Masui, this year’s recipient of the Gillian Dickinson Trust commission.

We are very proud of our students and their hard work and are excited for you to join us at what will be the final festival performance on the BA programme here at Dance City.

Tickets are free of charge, with optional donations welcome.
