We are seeking a Senior Artist Support and Development Manager to join our Senior Management Team, a key new role that will help shape the future of dance across the North East. The postholder will use the resources and expertise of Dance City to support the development of independent dance artists in the North East of England, collaborating with other dance organisations in the region to ensure the most effective and efficient provision.

The role will lead on designing and delivering a joined-up programme of artist support, including residencies, mentoring, professional development and performance opportunities. It will also play a central role in commissioning new work, building regional and national partnerships, and connecting artists to touring and presenting opportunities.

Working across the organisation and with external partners, the successful candidate will help embed artist development at the heart of our work, strengthen regional infrastructure, and ensure artists have access to the resources, networks and opportunities they need to thrive.

As part of the Senior Management Team, the postholder will contribute to strategy, fundraising and advocacy, while championing equity, diversity and inclusion and ensuring we remain an inclusive, artist-centred organisation.

We are keen to hear from candidates with strong experience in artist development, producing or commissioning, and a good understanding of the freelance arts landscape.
