Peter is a choreographer from Newcastle. Graduating Guildford School of Acting in 2013, he has since worked as both an actor and a dancer: Romeo and Juliet with Aquila Theatre NYC, MEAT with Schaubühne Berlin and One Side to the Other, Akram Khan Company.

Alongside this he has been creating his own work in the North East. Working with a small group of actors and dancers, we began with time at Live Theatre , DanceCity and Northumbria University, and have continued to develop our work over the last few years with pieces for GIFT Festival and Jabberwocky Market Festival.  Elsewhere, he has been supported as artist in residence at Battersea Arts Centre, awarded a studio space at the Camden Collective and received commissions from IdeasTap and the Royal Philharmonic Society.

“I am concerned for the whole world of the stage, not just the dance, but the space in which it exists, relationship of audience and performer, the performer and the dance. I am not interested in making dance within a black box, but creating a world onstage that is full, with all we feel in life, humour, absurdity, sadness, frustration and loneliness. I want to dance with all of this.”
