Dance City hosts an annual programme of platform events for dance-makers at different stages of planning, creating and presenting their work. These provide the opportunity to show work to an audience and receive critical feedback from audience and other dance professionals.
You can find out more about how we support professional dance artists by downloading the document below.
Dance Edits is Dance City’s showcase for North East based dance-makers selected to represent a snap-shot of what is happening in the region. The work will usually have undergone a period of development but may not at this stage be a finished product. Dance Edits takes place in Autumn each year.
If you would like to perform in Dance Edits please get in touch with us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org Dance City may also on occasion invite dance-makers to take part.
FRESH North East is a scratch platform for dance giving artists an opportunity to share new work in progress in an informal studio setting.
Artists receive a small bursary, photography and film of their work, plus marketing and networking support.
FRESH is produced and organised independently by Rachel Jean Birch and Hannah Marshall at Moving Art Management.
