Join Dance City’s brand new membership scheme and receive a range of treats and benefits only available to our members. From priority booking to complimentary show tickets you’ll get the very best from your visits to Dance City.
The Dance City Membership is £20 per year and includes:
- Priority booking for classes and performances – be the first to book your seat or class and never miss out again
- Class cancellation on the day (usually require at least 24 hours’ notice)
- 1 free ticket to Dance Edits OR Northern Platforms (up to the first 50 people) – these are the performances that showcase Northern talent and the artists supported by Dance City
- 10% off in the café.
Plus other treats and benefits throughout the year, such as member-only events, offers and freebies.
After joining you will receive a welcome pack and membership card which must be presented when claiming benefits. Your membership status will be automatically applied via your online booking account and you will have access to priority booking each season/term.

Priority Performance Booking: Joining now will entitle you to exclusive priority booking (until 30 April) for About The Elephant on 29 September, starring BBC Young Dancer of the Year winner Connor Scott and finalist Vidya Patel, both of whom learned to dance at Dance City. This is your chance to see rising stars from the North East in their first co-choreographed work. Priority booking will guarantee your preferred seat at this event which is sure to sell out.
Priority Classes Booking: If you join now you will also be able to book your favourite classes for the Autumn term, ensuring your place is reserved. Priority booking ends 30 April.
Dance City is a charity, and each membership fee includes a donation to our Community Engagement programmes so with your support you will help us to fulfil our mission of enabling dance to reach as many people as possible and to create a thriving dance sector in the North East of England.
