A North East Culture Social in association with Tyne & Wear Cultural Freelancers.

As the cultural sector emerges from the challenges of the pandemic, Dance City welcomes the Creative and Cultural workforce of the North East into the Dance City space; to physically reconnect and enjoy a well overdue party. ‘Beer, Burger, Boogie’ is for artists, makers, freelancers, producers and other creatives in the region. Hosted by Dance City, Newcastle, attendees are invited to come along, share food, have a catch up and a boogie with fellow cultural industry folk.

In the spirit of previous NE Culture Socials, the evening is an invitation. Proud of the creativity – and the creatives – in the region, Dance City hopes to create a space where people can share with pride the brilliant projects and ideas they’ve worked on and those still to come. A chance to collide with new colleagues too, as so many creatives have arrived in the region since the pandemic began in March 2020.

Anand Bhatt, the new (still new in a pandemic sense) Artistic Director & CEO of Dance City is delighted to host you in a way that embodies the spirit of North East arts and culture. Not having met many people in person yet, Anand will be on hand, flipping burgers and delighted to meet (and serve) you!  We are also pleased to be working alongside Tyne & Wear Cultural Freelancers following their recent recognition at the Culture Awards. Leila D’Aronville will be joining Dance City’s Phil Douglas on the bar.

Taking advantage of the opportunity to throw a party, please join us for an evening of merriment and sharing. Your first drink (including beer) and burger is free! There will be plenty of refreshments on offer, including vegan and non-alcoholic options, all accompanied by DJ Mariam Rezaei and DJ Yoli to provide the tunes.

On behalf of Dance City, come along and dance the night away with us.
