Dance City was delighted to be one of the partners to the largest event of its kind, the U.Dance National Festival in July 2023 alongside Northern Stage and Newcastle College. U.Dance is a celebration of youth dance and groups from around the country performed on professional stages, youth dance groups took part in workshops with leading dance professionals, and were offered inspiring dance careers information.

Dance City were delighted to host two of the shows which culminated in the success of the weekend, and have representation from across our Engagement, Community Classes, CAT and HE departments.

Seeing the growth in confidence and excitement of the performers, choreographers and festival volunteers was incredible to see for the whole team of organisers involved in making the weekend happen.
