Following last year’s sold-out event, Dance City invites you to get your best Zombie outfit on and come and learn the iconic Thriller routine this Halloween. This intergenerational workshop, taking place at 5pm on Friday 31 October, is suitable for people of all ages and abilities in dance. Over an hour and a half, you will go through the memorable steps of the famous dance break.
“Thriller has become a staple song at Halloween parties over the past 4 decades and shows signs of only speeding up. Choreographed by the American choreographer Michael Peters and brought to life by Michael Jackson, the routine and the video set new standards of how pop music could be visualised. It was the inspirational moment of why so many young people started to dance, including me.”
Anand Bhatt, Artistic Director, who will be delivering the Thriller workshop

Our regular Boopie Boppers will take on a spooky theme this Halloween. This is an imaginative dance class best suited to walking age toddlers, with sensory instruments, dancing and musical instruments. A fun and relaxed class, which creates a love of music and movement from an early age.
“The Halloween programme will be a lot of fun. When people come dressed up, it creates a really great atmosphere in the room. Learning routines this way can help new people to fall in love with dancing. With so many social and health benefits to dance – including laughter – I hope lots of people join us and have a good time.”

2025 marks a major milestone — Dance City’s 40th anniversary. To celebrate, we’ve launched an ambitious campaign:
