Akademi seeks highly skilled and experienced male dancers of South Asian origin with strong contemporary/ South Asian/ Bollywood dance technique, for the R&D, creation period and India and UK tour of Akademi’s new show The Troth directed and choreographed by award-winning Gary Clarke.

 Usne Kaha Tha (The Troth)

A physical dance work based on an Indian story, written about early 19th century Amritsar, that tells a story of love, loss and sacrifice against the backdrop of the horror and conflict of World War 1. Inspired by Film Noir and the era of black and white films, The Troth unfolds its poignant narrative through powerful interplay between dance, music and film.

The Troth will tour India and UK in early 2018.
