PoC/BAME Artist Development Events – Dance City

Dance City is wishing to develop relationships and conversations with North East professional dance artists who identify as a Person of Colour/Black Asian Minority Ethnic or whose work is focused upon or inspired by diaspora.

We are hosting a series of three artist development activities over the next six months.

Following the first event of informal conversation, drink and performance ZINZI MINOTT: ONE LYRICAL BITCH SOLO, the second event will be on Wednesday 11 December.

Dance City will be hosting a dinner and facilitated conversation with Degna Stone (Slate, Eclipse Theatre) and Rachael Young (Award-winning artist and writer, named an Artist to Watch 2019 by the British Council). We are also pleased to welcome Desiree Cherrington from the Arts Council England to the conversation.

This event will provide the opportunity for conversations started at the first event to be picked up and discussed in more detail.
