Call out for Dancers – BrazUKa

BrazUKa is an exciting non-narrative show with original live music and choreography. The show will be performed on two dates during the Great Yorkshire Fringe Festival, in York, on the 22nd and 25th of July.

We are searching for five dancers in total, male and female. Dancers should be 16 years old or more, be very expressive, versatile and technically trained in at least one technique (e.g. Jazz or Ballet).

The audition will be in workshop format. Following a warm-up, candidates will be taught short sequences of varied styles. If you are interested, please email silverdanceinfo@gmail.com for an application form.

The audition will take place on Sunday 17/06, 3-6 pm, at Miller’s Yard (19 Gillygate, York YO31 7EB).

Successful candidates should be ready to commit to the schedule of rehearsals below. However, please note that not every dancer may be necessary during the whole time in all the rehearsals. The rehearsals will take place at York St John University, University of York and Miller’s Yard. A full schedule of rehearsals will be forwarded to the successful candidates.
