Call out for dancers – Emma James
Call out for dancers and video artists for creative summer week commencing July 29th.
Emma James is returning to Dance City, working on a new group piece based on the board game Ludo.
It will be a playful investigation into the visual effect of emotion, and I will use task based improvisations to facilitate honest choreography.
The choreography aims to trigger recognition of our internal landscapes, and evoke the joy of imagination.
Choreography will amalgamate pedestrian movement, subtle gestures and forceful momentum, in order to emphasis the dynamics of our realities.
I am excited to work with local dancers, and video makers ( the more the merrier ) and facilitate an experience that allows for reflection, insight, and exchange.
