Candoco Dance Company Teacher Training Intensive

Candoco Dance Company are delighted to be working in partnership with The Lowry to deliver Candoco’s annual Teacher Training Intensive this October in Salford.
The Teacher Training Intensive is a professional development opportunity for disabled and non-disabled dance artists and teachers who are keen to explore the principles of Candoco’s inclusive practice.
The 3-day training, delivered by Candoco’s Artistic Co-Director Charlotte Darbyshire, Rehearsal Director Susanna Recchia and the company dancers, will introduce the fundamental principles of Candoco’s inclusive approach through exploration of the company’s newest work, Face In.
Focusing on individual teaching practice and questions, we will explore core values, creative and inclusive approaches to technique class and artistic process and use of language and communication.
By booking a place on the intensive, participants will receive a complimentary ticket to Candoco’s new double bill at The Lowry on 24 October, featuring Yasmeen Godder’s bold and uninhibited Face In and Alexander Whitley’s visually striking work, Beheld.
