One Dance UK/Arts Council England research survey
The University of Bedfordshire is carrying out a research project on freelancers in the dance sector for One Dance UK and Arts Council England.
The research explores the role and impact of freelancers in the dance sector in the United Kingdom, and aims to:
- gain insight into the current and future support needs of freelancers working in the dance sector
- update existing knowledge about the freelance workforce in the dance sector, including working lives, well-being and contribution to the dance sector
- inform a broad range of organisations who are already engaged in providing support
- enable One Dance UK to create new opportunities where there are gaps in current provision and coordination of support for freelancers
- provide Arts Council England with comprehensive findings to inform their 10-year strategy
- ensure that we have a resilient and relevant dance sector well into the future.
