Volunteers Needed for The Late Shows

Volunteers are required to steward around venues in Newcastle and Gateshead

Dates required: Friday 13th May 2016 7pm-11pm and/or Saturday 14th May 2016 6pm-11pm (Gateshead venues) or 7pm-11pm (Newcastle venues)

Overview: 2016 marks the 10th occasion that Newcastle/Gateshead have hosted The Late Shows. We are seeking people to be the face of the Late Shows, assisting the visitors with information and being responsive to requests.

Tasks include: Volunteers will be placed around and near the Late Shows Venues. Their role is to:

meet and greet visitors
provide excellent customer service
hand out goodies such as glow sticks and programmes to visitors
answer visitor queries
provide directions to venues and bus stops (information will be provided)
advise visitors about other venues on the route that they may enjoy.
keep the Late Shows vital and enthusiastic.
Personal qualities required/preferred:

Good customer service skills
Good communication skills
Ability to work in a team
Ability to follow instructions and to be pro active.
Volunteers should be enthusiastic, friendly, approachable and confident, and able to work in teams with one or more volunteers.
Training of volunteer: A full volunteer briefing session will be available, and the date for this will be released nearer the time. This will include receiving your Late Shows T Shirt to wear on the night(s). lanyard of information about the Late Shows venues and the chance to meet members or the Volunteering, Communications, Development and Senior Management Team at TWAM, who can offer advice and answer your questions.
