Mentoring Call Out – Black Artists In Dance
**DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR 24HRS – PLEASE GET IN TOUCH BY 9 DECEMBER**
Dance City are delighted to be working in partnership with B.A.i.D to offer local, Black, dance professionals, a free 1-2-1 mentoring session via Zoom this December. This opportunity has been designed in response to outcomes from sector consultations where mentoring for black artists in the region was clearly identified as a need.
‘The B.A.i.D vision is to support black artists in dance through mentoring, health and well-being, career opportunities and resources. There are many career pathways available within dance, the scope of which is much greater than performing, teaching and choreography.
We aim to broaden the opportunities available for black artists within the industry. We are committed to enriching the dance community through representation, diversity and equality.’
The project consists of six mentoring sessions, four for selected artists Dance City is currently connected with, and two via this open call out, for us to reach out and connect with more artists working in the sector. This is a great artist led initiative that will provide you the space to share your ideas, receive support, and further your networks.
The mentoring session will take place on Tuesday 15 December at either 3.45 – 4.45pm or 5pm – 6pm via Zoom.
