Experiential are thankful to Dance City for the opportunity to further research Trapped during Creative Summer. Trapped is a dance- theatre production motivated by the true story of 33 Chilean miners who, against all odds, survived 69 days trapped underground.  Through the mix of movement, live music, personalised lighting and film they have created a production, which is ‘wonderfully intimate, engages all the senses’ and offers audiences a ‘ totally different experience’. (Audience comments).

They however seek to deepen their understanding of the physical and emotional demands of mining and its heritage and culture by working with local Harton and Westoe Miners Heritage Group. During this week Experiential is excited to see the outcome of collaboration between Choreographer Rachel Johnson, Dancer Alex Rowland and the two local miners.
