Helena will be working on a piece exploring the idea of  impermanence. She is inspired by the Buddhist practice of making and destroying sand mandalas. Specially trained monks spend days making beautiful and highly complex art works, which are then destroyed to highlight the impermanence of life and the world. In Helena’s training she has been exploring ways to move between the air and the ground. She would like to explore this further and look at creating and destroying a design on the ground.
