Call Out For Artists – OOPS festival 2020

Where: Brighton, UK

When: 8-14th June, 2010

Deadline for applications: 19th August 2019

OOPS Festival is curated by the Swallowsfeet Collective; an artist-led collective composed of 5 individuals who are passionate about developing artist-led models for sharing and experiencing dance in innovative ways.

Within our practice we explore the ideas and research behind current trends. For OOPS 2020, our focus is on climate change, mental health, social justice and the role that art plays and intertwines within the wider context.  OOPS festival is a platform to collectively reflect on what moves us now and what will move us in and towards the future.

We are searching for exceptional international live performance makers, visual artists and filmmakers who feel their works engage with these current subjects and share our philosophy. We welcome submissions from artists working in all mediums with emphasis on the body as the central form of expression.

This is a paid opportunity that is funding dependent. We cover accommodation in Brighton, an allowance for travel expenses and performance fees for each company. We aim to bring empowerment to independent dance makers through collaborative practice and international exchange.
