Once again this year Dance City will be taking part in The Late Shows, the free late-night culture crawl taking place in Newcastle city centre on Saturday 18 May 2019.

During The Late Shows, museums, galleries, studio collectives and landmark historical buildings come together to offer visitors one-off events including hands-on workshops, behind-the-scenes tours, performances and parties. It’s all about encouraging people to do something cultural with their evening in celebration of the national event ‘Museums at Night’.

For this year’s offering, Dance City is opening its doors to the public and showing what the North East’s dedicated dance venue is all about, with free taster workshops in a range of styles, as well as the opportunity to see local companies rehearsing and performing around the building. This evening has been designed to capture the day-to-day culture of Dance City and give newcomers the chance to experience its weekly programme of public classes for free.

Dance City will also be offering bite sized ballet and contemporary workshops for ages 12-17 from 5-7pm as part of Twil-lates. All Twi-late and Late Show workshops are available to book in advance, click on the times below to secure your spot:
