Finance Coordinator (Part-Time, Permanent)

Dance City is seeking a Finance Coordinator to be a key point of administration and operational contact for colleagues and Board of Trustees, as well as key external partners and customers. The coordinator will ensure the smooth running of the finance department by providing day to day finance administrative, processing, and analytical support.

Hours: Part Time (24 hours per week)

Salary:  £22,500 – £26,000 per annum, pro-rata

Probationary Period: 6 months  

Notice period:  2 month

Pilates Teacher (freelance)

Dance City Newcastle offers a wide range of drop-in dance classes for people of all ages and abilities. We are recruiting a Pilates teacher for our adults class one afternoon per week.

Role: To deliver engaging and accessible Pilates classes to adults of all ages, for beginners level. Classes take place in the studios at Dance City, Temple Street in Newcastle.

Rate of Pay: £28 per hour

Hours: 1 hour per week during term times. Starting w/c 5 September.

Board Members

The Board of Dance City is looking to appoint new Board Members to provide inspirational leadership and strategic vision to take the charitable organisation onto its next stage of development. New Board Members will help us to ensure a sustainable business model that successfully serves our audiences, communities and stakeholders for decades to come.

Dance City is a charity and its main objective is that of promoting, maintaining, improving and educating by the encouragement of the arts. We primarily focus on dance, but touch on drama and music and many other artforms too.

These are voluntary roles and no financial remuneration is offered to any board member beyond reasonable travel expenses.

Time Commitment:

Minimum of four board meetings per year (usually late afternoon/early evening in Newcastle or on Zoom).

Annual Board Away Day.

Occasional individual meetings with Executive team or Chair.

Sub-committee meetings as required (at least quarterly)

Attendance at least two Dance City events per year.

The overall time commitment is estimated at 1-2 days per quarter.
