Fire Station Staff (Supervisory Role)
Fixed term initial contract of 3 months with the possibility of extension.
Dance City are looking for friendly, welcoming and confident individuals to work at the Fire Station Arts Centre in Sunderland as the main point of contact for all building users. Working independently, the ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and will thrive working in a busy and dynamic environment in a supervisory role.
Working on the reception you will be responsible for welcoming all visitors, taking bookings for classes, arranging room hires and setups, answering calls and taking messages. You will liaise with all organisations who work from the Fire Station such as Dance City, Live Theatre and The Sunderland Cultural Partnership. You will also have Fire Warden & First Aid responsibilities and will be the first point of contact for any emergencies.

The role will be part time with approx. 20 hours per week. At the moment we would be looking to recruit for the following shifts:
Wednesday 8.30am – 3.30pm
Thursday 3.30pm – 9.30pm
Friday 3.30pm – 9.30pm
Saturday 1.00pm – 5.30pm
Plus other cover when necessary
The rate of pay is £7.50 – £10.00 per hour dependent on experience (plus holiday pay).

Instructor required to deliver Contemporary 55+ class
Dance City is looking for a Contemporary practitioner to deliver their Contemporary class at Dance City every Sunday morning during term time, starting in April 2018.
The classes run every Sunday during term time from 10.30-11.30am. Practitioners are contracted each term.
We require a practitioner with the following attributes:
- Experience of delivering contemporary to people with different abilities.
- Experience of inspiring people and retaining participants throughout a programme.
- A current Enhanced DBS (Criminal Records Bureau) certificate, First Aid certificate, Safeguarding Children & Vulnerable Adults certificate and an Equality and Diversity certificate, or are willing to undertake these courses at their own cost.
Payment will be £25 per hour.
