Born in the North East of England, Daisy trained in various forms of dance throughout her adolescence at Dance City in Newcastle, later joining the National Youth Dance Company touring England with works by Sharon Eyal and Botis Seva.

Daisy went on to study at The Place in London, followed by a master’s degree with the Northern School of Contemporary Dance's postgraduate company Verve, where she toured nationally and internationally. During her studies, she worked with choreographers such as Kor'sia, Extended Play, Fabio Liberti, Sam Coren, Liam Francis and Renaud Wiser. Most recently, Daisy has been working with Fertile Ground Company in Newcastle, working once again with Renaud Wiser (Artistic Director of Fertile Ground) and Jamaal Burkmar of Extended Play Dance, as well as Patricia Okenwa. She has thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting with the North East and bringing her professional knowledge back to a very familiar place.

I am really looking forward to getting sweaty with some new and familiar faces based around the North East and to continue developing my teaching practice whilst doing that.

Alongside my partner in crime Orla Hardie, we will be exploring lots of lovely gooey improvisation. We like to explore movement which is rich in texture and full of character so you can definitely expect that from us. We will lead you through some improvisation and into some set material which explores the movement language we generally create with. We like getting sweaty, so prepare for sweat, jumping and lots of good vibes.
